American Chesapeake Club National Field Trial Specialty
Davis Ranch,
Cascade, Idaho
September
11-13, 2012
Please join us in Idaho
- run the Specialty and two All-Breed trials, and see some of
Idaho's beautiful scenic and recreation areas. If you don't have a
dog to run then join us just to watch and have a good time. Cascade,
ID is 75 miles north of Boise. The Specialty will be held at the
beautiful Davis Ranch just two miles from the town of Cascade.
This is a working cattle ranch that has previously been the site of
two ACC Specialty Trials and the ranch also hosted a National
Amateur. We are very grateful to the Davis family for allowing us
access once again.
Very few events are ever held at this site. Cascade and McCall
are year-round recreation areas , very scenic and offer lots to do. |

~ DEDICATIONS ~
We dedicate this 2012
Specialty to the memories of Dr. John C. Lundy and Maggie D.
Hoagland - gone but not forgotten.
Dr. John C. Lundy 1918
- 2011 John got his first Chesapeake at age 11 - from a country doctor
right here in Cascade, ID! Later on, John became very good friends
with Tom and Gemima Davis which resulted in this our third Specialty
on this lovely ranch. We know John as the owner/breeder/trainer of
many fine Chesapeakes and a long-time member of ACC and two-time
President. Equally important was the support and encouragement that
John gave to so many over the years - especially if they ran a brown
dog. It is especially fitting that while we have our Specialty here
at Davis Ranch we will also award trophies that are each a bit of
ACC and/or John Lundy history. And John will be watching and rooting
us all on....
Maggie D. Hoagland 1948 - 2011
"Maggie" - a rare intellect, a dry humor with sharp
wit and (sometimes) tongue, a generous spirit, a true Chesapeake
enthusiast, a good friend. Maggie devoted a great amount of
energy to our breed. She successfully bred, raised and trained
several dogs for conformation and field competition. She gave the
breed her "all". Those of us lucky to be in her circle of friends
will always remember the shared laughter and tears. A friend
of dog and man.... never to be forgotten....
