The WD will run first.
At it's completion
then the X will run and the Q last. Land and water will run simultaneous.
Each dog will run the Land then go immediately to the water
area. There are 4 judges for each stake. Two setup on land and two
others at the water. There will be a large entry and we need to
complete all three stakes in one day. Please have your dogs
aired and ready to go when it's your turn to be called to the
holding blind.
Fees: ACC Members - $45
for each stake - Non-Members - $50 for each stake

–Bitches in season cannot run and are not to be aired on the
grounds. Refunds are available. See the instructions in the WD
Rules. Please notify us in writing in advance if you need to cancel
an entry.

Order: a
Draw and Running Order will be posted on the website by
9-15-11. Please download your copy of the typed running-order or
include your email address and we will email it to you by 9-15-11.
Copies will not be available at the WD.

Results will be Posted on the ACC website after the event as soon as
possible.
WD/X/Q Rules: All ACC
members were sent a copy of the Rules and Guidelines after the
updates of 2008. You can download additional copies
below or from the ACC Website. Please read through these before the day of
the test. The judges will go over the basic rules with
everyone quickly before the start of the stake and you can ask a few questions
then if needed. Email or call Jane Pappler ahead of time if you need help
understanding any of the procedures or have questions regarding the
entry form. Please take time
to read through the requirements and procedures in advance of the
tests. This will help you and your dog to be successful and not
fail due to handler error.

WDX: a double on land and a double on water, dogs must be
steady and deliver to hand
WDQ: a double on land, a land blind, a water blind and
a combination triple with two birds in water and one on land. Dogs must be steady and

Directions:
Driving time from
Hotel Carlisle is 30-45 minutes, about 20 miles.
Using back
roads with no tolls: from the Hotel, turn LEFT onto old Rt 11,
go 1/2 mile, take the ramp onto I-81 South toward Chambersburg. Go
just over 3 miles taking exit #49 High St- at end of ramp turn LEFT
onto Trindle Rd ( PA Rt 641 toward Mechanicsburg) - go a short
distance turn Right onto Fairview St, go 3/4 mile bear LEFT onto PA
74 for 8.5 miles to Dillsburg where Rt 74 intersects with Rt 15.
Turn Left, then turn again following signs for Rt 74. Pass the
Northern School Complex, continue straight and this becomes Rt 194,
go 1.5 miles to the Franklintown Fire House, turn Right on
Franklintown Rd. (this road is small- don’t miss it). Signs posted
here. Go 1 mile to parking area on right with Port-O-Potty.
From the NORTH:
From the host hotel take PA turnpike going EAST. Go one exit, Take
Rt 15 South to Dillsburg, Turn LEFT on RT 74. Pass the Northern
School Complex, continue straight and this becomes Rt 194. Go 1.5
miles to the Franklintown Fire House, turn right on Franklintown
Road. (this road is small- don’t miss it). Signs posted here. Go 1
mile to parking area on right with Port-O-Potty.
From Gettysburg
area and South: take
Rt 15 North, turn Right on Franklin Church Rd. Stay to
left/Straight, proceed past Paint Ball Center and Franklin Church.
Turn left onto Willow Glen Road, turn Left on Franklintown
Road. Parking area on Left with Port-O-Potty
For a GPS: use
the intersection of Franklintown Road & Game Land Rd or Franklintown
Rd & Willow Glen Rd, Franklin Twp, PA
What to Bring:
Water for you and your dogs, shade
equipment, bug spray, lawn chair, whistle, flat buckle collar and
leash, boots, and your lunch. Please pickup all trash and take it
with you. The
little village of Franklintown does not have restaurants or fast
food. Dillsburg on Rt 15 has Gas and many Eating places.
Volunteers are needed for the
following: 4 Marshals for each
stake, person to bag birds for the judges, 4 live bird gunners for each
stake, pop/throw the dead bird, equipment luggers, grounds person to oversee parking and post/remove
the signs, and possible test dogs. Anyone
shooting must have a valid PA hunting license and orange to wear.

For all
concerned -
make sure your dog has
had gun fire, bird boys in white coats, and is picking up ducks
before the competition. Park in designated area only. Smoking can be
restricted in game-lands during dry weather. All dogs must be on
leash in parking area and when being aired. No dogs permitted near
the line except the competing dog. When dogs are running, please do
not walk around in the gallery, avoid loud talking and do not wear
white. Any of these can be very distracting to the dogs and the
contestants. Hunting Season is in on the game lands on days prior to
SUNDAY so be careful. This is PUBLIC Game Lands.
