You may enter your dog for 1, 2, or all 3 levels – but only the
first time a dog passes one of these levels will the owner
receive a diploma from the ACC. Your dog doesn’t have to pass
the WD before entering the WDX or WDQ, i.e. you may skip one or
two levels, the choice is yours.
Measuring your chesapeake’s height & weight: We have
started a project measuring the height & weight of as many
chesapeakes as possible, it is to be continued over several
years. Please help us gather a lot of information! The
registration will be completely anonymous; the only data needed
are age & sex of the dog at the time of measuring. Thank you for
your help

Torunn Sørbye, Norway. Entries & payment: www.hundeweb.dk -
deadline July 26. Torunn Sørbye is a vet, show judge for several
breeds incl. the retrievers, and will soon finish the Norwegian
RC’s education as a hunt test judge for the retriever breeds.
Torunn has bred labradors for many years under the prefix
Mementos, handling her dogs very successfully in hunt tests,
tracking tests, and shows.
Brugsprøve (Danish RC working trial) for all retriever
breeds. Entries no later than August 20 via www.chesapeake.dk –
a brugsprøve will be arranged only if at least 5 dogs are
entered in advance.

RESULTS
Report from RD, Denmark
for the WDXQ Test in Tappernøje Denmark 29th of Aug 2015
The test was held in an area also used earlier years for WD/X/Q
tests and we are very happy that Iver S: Hansen let us use his
hunting ground. We had 25 dogs entered in all three classes. 19
starters in WD with 13 passing. 17 starters in WDX with 6
passes. 3 starters in WDQ with 0 passed. The area, which
we have used before was a bit different this year, because of
heavy rain and high temperatures the last 3 weeks before the
test, the grass had been growing a bit high on the WDX and WDQ
area, so this years test was not an easy task for the dogs…
which also the results for the WDX and Q shows. But the dogs who
passed did a «heroic job»….. One dog (Cheslabben Peak Energy,
Owner/handler Ole Kristian Skodde from Norway) was very, very
close to pass the WDQ, he was only inches away on the last bird
in the triple mark to make it. Bad luck Ole Kristian, but you
will do the next time. The judges was given much credit from
both the handlers and spectators, so thank you very much Iver
and Flemming for a good job. As new RD i Denmark I also got
unexpected support from abroad. Mrs Janet Morris, from Wales and
RD for England for many years had some money on a bank account
from the years of work as RD in England. The amount was devided
between Denmark and Finland (who also has a new RD) We got 135
Euro each of us which is appx. 153 US Dollar. The money is for
support the WD/X/Q tests in Denmark and Finland. Janet also
brought with her different other things, as American Flags, a
lot of old photos, old books etc etc. Thank you very much for
your support Janet Morris. And thank you for sharing your
knowledge of the Chesapeake, training etc … We hope to see you
back in Denmark very soon. Bjarne
