MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

A regular meeting of the board of directors of the AMERICAN CHESAPEAKE CLUB, a California Nonprofit public benefit corporation was called to order at 7:15 PM Eastern, Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The meeting was held by video conference call through which all persons participating in the meeting could hear and speak to one another.

The following officers and directors were present: President Tina Cox, Vice President Gina Downin, Secretary Suellen Appellof, Treasurer Brian Newman, Director Todd Adams, Director Marlene Drag, Director Robyn Haskin, Director Kathy Luthy, and Director Jen Martin.

1. Opening remarks - The chair called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM.
2. Approval of Minutes- See Below

3. Report of the Secretary - Suellen Appellof- The ACC currently has 1158 members. The Secretary reports the following motions have been approved by unanimous written consent of the Directors, effective on the dates noted, and the consents will be filed with the minutes of this meeting.

1.  To approve the minutes of the July 30, 2024 Board Video Conference 24:50 (Suellen Appellof, Tina Cox) Approved 8/26/2024 

4. Report of the Treasurer - Brian Newman reported 

1. Regular checking $20,738.98
2. Money market account:  $61,573.06
3. CD  $100,000.00
4. To amend Motion 24:48 “To approve Treasurer, Brian Newman, and President, Tina Cox as signers on the Bank of America All Breed Field Trial checking account. 24:48 (Brian Newman, Jen Martin) Approved 07/30/2024” to read “To approve Treasurer, Brian Newman, or President, Tina Cox, or Secretary, Suellen Appellof as signer on the Bank of America All Breed Field Trial checking account. 24:48 (Brian Newman, Jen Martin) Approved 9/10/24

1. ACC NSS Judge Selection Process- Returned to Committee.
2. Challenge Trophies-

1. Workgroup created to work on the Trophy Coordinator position and trophies- to include Show Chair, and Board members: Melissa Schumann, Jen Martin, Kathy Luthy, Robyn Haskin, Tina Cox

6. Election of New Members None for this meeting.

5. Breeder Education Coordinator guidelines. AKC states that each breed club should develop their own guidelines for this. Workgroup  formed to create the guidelines. Tina, Suellen, Invite others.

Executive Session  begins at 9:54 pm and ends at 10:08 pm. Nothing to report from the Executive Session.
