The ACC is preparing to launch several new initiatives that will significantly expand our educational impact. The club is creating several new positions in coordination with AKC education efforts. The Parent Club Delegate Committee is encouraging clubs to provide resources and support to juniors, breeders, and puppy owners. The ACC will be appointing a new Junior Coordinator, a Breeder Education Coordinator, and forming a Puppy Education Ad-Hoc Committee. We are looking for passionate, highly motivated volunteers with a wealth of experience to build these new programs from the ground up.
Both the Junior and Breeder Education Coordinators will serve as a point of contact on the ACC page of the AKC website. The coordinators will organize existing and obtain new articles for publication in both the Bulletin and on the club website.
Our Junior Coordinator will work with other ACC committees to provide resources and support to Juniors in all disciplines.
The Breeder Education Coordinator will work closely with the Judge and Breeder Education Committee to help educate and mentor breeders.
The Puppy Education Ad-Hoc Committee will seek out articles relevant to raising and training a Chesapeake puppy. Articles will appear on the ACC website and Chesapeake puppy owners will be directed to them from the AKC Pupdate newsletter.
Application deadline: December 1, 2022.
Also, if you have creative ideas about Junior Ed, Breeder Ed, or Puppy Ed, the web page will include a form that allows you to share your ideas. We’d love to hear from you.
