Chesapeake Events Around the Globe – Germany
| September 13, 2015 WDXQ – Sundern, Germany Contact: Mioira Frank This year a Chesapeakes weekend was organized in Germany. As has become now tradition, we held the meeting in a different part of Germany, quite central this year, giving nice opportunities for people who came from different parts of the country to attend. We were very lucky to hold the training and the tests on the beautiful grounds of the Melschede Castle close to Sundern. The Friday evening a nice dinner welcomed the first participants who came to the meeting. Saturday, from morning till the late afternoon was dedicated to the training, which it was very good as it took people and dogs more confident with the tests. The Saturday night we enjoyed a delicious dinner all together. It was a very pleasing evening for everyone, where we could enjoy the company in a relaxed and plaising atmosphere and also keeping the focus on the work through a presentation about the Field Trial in the USA and in Europe and our breed. The Sunday was the day of the tests, with 16 dogs entered. All dogs did very well and almost all had passed the Tests. Who did not passed I’m sure will be successful next year, with just a little bit more obedience training. Thank you to all people who helped at the realization of this weekend: thank you to Ulrike Schloegell for the perfect organization, and to Ansgar Wulf for the awesome grounds, thank you to my co-judge Mr. Michael Bruehl who graciously accepted to judge our dogs and also supervised the conformity of the Tests to the german hunting rules. Thank you also to Nikolai Albrecht and to my husband Matthias for coming to help, and thanks to all others which was there and simply gave an hand. See you next year guys!
