Junior Showmanship Competition

Special Note - per AKC, Specialties sometimes have very few kids in Juniors, so there is a special rule. We do not break down the classes by age, so the following is what is offered.  

NOVICE CLASS:  For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

OPEN CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

MASTERS CLASS:  For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.
