American Chesapeake Club Trophy 2021


All Challenge Trophies
are offered through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show.  For permanent possession, a trophy must be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows.

Patsy and Rudy Barber, Jr. and Mitchel Horowitz offer the CH Chesabar’s Downeast Cruiser Memorial Trophy for Best of Breed through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is a cold cast bronze statue of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever on a wooden base valued at $500

 

The friends and admirers of CH* Quail Run’s Bear Cub MH** CGC TDI WDQ offer the CH Quail Run’s Bear Cub MH** CGC TDI WDQ Memorial Trophy for Best of Breed with AKC Hunt Title or JAM or better at AKC Field Trial through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is a cold cast bronze statue of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mounted on a wooden base valued at $500. (Photo plaque will be sent to the winner after the NSS is they qualify for it.)

For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is a cold cast bronze statue of three Chesapeake Bay Retrievers side-by-side on a wooden base valued at $500

 

Richard and Shelia DiVaccaro offer the Chesarab Farm Challenge Trophy for Best of Winners through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is a silver-plate bowl, 10 inches in diameter standing 5¼ inches high mounted on a wooden base valued at $500

 

Patsy and Rudy Barber, Jr. offer the CHESABAR MEMORIAL TROPHY, IN LOVING MEMORY OF CH CHESABAR’S STAR OF OBADIAHS CD Trophy for Winners Dog through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is a cold cast bronze Danny Quest statue of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mounted on a wooden base valued at $500.

 

Ronald and Karen Anderson offer the CH Chestnut Hills Pandora CDX Memorial Trophy for Winners Bitch through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is an art metals serving tray measuring 22 ½ inches by 14 inches including handles valued at $500

 

The friends of Madelyn Connor offer the Madelyn Connor Challenge Trophy for First Place in the Veteran Dog 10 and over class through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner(s), not necessarily with the same Chesapeake or at consecutive shows. The trophy is an antique Chippendale silver dish mounted on a wooden plaque valued at $500.

 

Patsy and Rudy Barber, Jr. of Chesabar Chesapeakes offer the CH CHESABAR’S FLASHBACK CHALLENGE TROPHY, For First Place in Brood Bitch Class through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner(s), not necessarily with the same Chesapeake or at consecutive shows. The trophy is a silver-plated wine cooler, approximately 13 inches tall mounted on a walnut base. Approximate value is $400.00

 

For the Breeder(s) of Record of HIGH IN TRIAL OBEDIENCE through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same breeder(s), not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. The trophy is to remain in the custody of the winning breeder(s) until the next National Specialty Show. The trophy is a 14 x 17 walnut colored plaque with a 10 x 10 brass plate at the top with a bronze Chesapeake Bay retriever head and black photo etched “log canoe” sail boat. These are the loves of Mildred Buchholz and both are truly American and originated on the Chesapeake Bay. The “log canoe” is a sail boat honed from logs. They still sail and have a regatta each August on the Eastern Shore of Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. There are twelve 1 ½ x 3 plates for winner’s names that are easily removable. If additional plates are required, they can be added by means of an additional plate plaque added by hanging chains and will be provided by the Friends of Millie Buchholz valued at $500. 

Annette B. Monugian, Marnetts Chesapeake’s, offers the CH MARNETTS GRANT MY WIS H JH UDX RE MEMORIAL TROPHY For the Owner of First Place, Novice B Obedience, through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show. For permanent possession if won three times by the same winner(s), not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. The trophy is a Ceramic Relief of Chesapeake’s in Action, by Artist Jennifer Stewart of Anaheim, CA. framed in a 10” square shadow box.  Approximate Value $400. 

Sue Cone offers the CH & AM/CAN OTCH Katmai Abigail Adams WD Challenge Trophy for Highest Scoring Chesapeake in the Regular Classes through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is a 9-inch  pewter bowl on a walnut base valued at $500 

Bill and Dyane Baldwin, Pond Hollow, offer the CH Pond Hollow Bering Sea & NBISS CH Pond Hollow Morocco Memorial Trophy for the Bred-By-Exhibitor Dog-first place through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. The Trophy is an Aluminum cast silhouette of a Chesapeake by Lorraine Berg on a wooden plaque. Estimated Value $300..

 

Two trophies not to be listed in Premium List or Presented in the Ring, per AKC requirements. 

Maggie Fisher of NorthWyn Chesapeake’s offers the AM/CAN CH SHORE WATERS MICHIGAN CD WD CHALLENGE TROPHY for Best Puppy in Sweepstakes through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same owner(s), not necessarily with the same Chesapeake or at consecutive shows. The trophy is a cast bronze Chessie puppy mounted on a wooded base. Valued at $500. 

Patsy and Rudy Barber, Jr. offer the BISS AM/CAN CH Baron of Shorewaters Bussy Memorial Trophy for Best Junior Handler through the American Chesapeake Club for competition at its National Specialty Show only. For permanent possession if won three times by the same Junior Handler, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. This is         an original framed watercolor painting by Dr. Michael McCarthy valued at $500.
